If you’re a resident with access to recycled water, as a condition of connection you will have recycled water connected to your toilet cistern and a recycled water tap (purple tap) in your front and backyard.

 

Use your recycled water for:

  • Flushing toilets.
  • Watering plants and vegetables in your garden.
  • Watering the lawn.
  • Washing cars (on the lawn only).
  • Cleaning the outside of your home and outdoor furniture.
  • Fighting fires.

Don’t use your recycled water for:

  • Drinking.
  • Cooking with or for other kitchen uses.
  • Showering or bathing.
  • Filling your swimming pools or spas.
  • Evaporative cooling systems. 
  • Filling children’s water toys.
