Recycled water - a sustainable choice
Recycled water is a sustainable water supply that is providing benefits to more than 7,000 households across Cranbourne, Lyndhurst, Officer, Pakenham, Keysborough and Dandenong South – and this number is growing by the day. It is supplied through distinctive purple pipes, taps and water meters.
Treated locally to Class A quality at the Eastern Treatment Plant in Carrum and the Pakenham Recycled Water Treatment Plant, planned upgrades to these plants are set to boost recycled water supply to cater for our growing population. It’s predicted that by 2030 we’ll have approximately 43,000 properties connected to recycled water in our service region. Read our Purple Press newsletter to learn more.
