We provide our core services to almost 1.5 million people (about 654,000 customers) that are residents (households), businesses, large industries and local councils in our defined service area. We also serve the community in this area by providing advice and support about use of water.
In order to deliver these products and services to our customers we work closely with several Victorian Government agencies, industry regulators and other water authorities.
We also collect rates on behalf of Melbourne Water (to manage the regional drainage system and protect and improve waterways) and Parks Victoria (to manage a network of parks, including national, state and metropolitan parks, marine national parks, many significant cultural assets and Melbourne's bays and waterways).
