 Kevin Hutchings

Mr Hutchings was appointed as Managing Director of South East Water Limited in July 2011.

Prior to this appointment Mr Hutchings was South East Water’s Acting Chief Executive Officer from February 2011 and has been with the company since its inception in 1995.  He brings a wealth of water, sewerage and infrastructure senior management expertise to his role as Managing Director.

Mr Hutchings was previously General Manager of ‘us’ - Utility Services, which oversees the design, construction, operation and maintenance of South East Water’s infrastructure, sewer and water pipeline renewals and water quality and the operation of eight sewage treatment plants. Additionally, he was responsible for new growth areas for external works, including Australia and New Zealand.

Before joining South East Water in 1995, Mr Hutchings worked for 19 years at Email Electronics, which specialised in the development of new hardware and software technologies in both retail and distribution markets for major oil companies.

Mr Rex Dusting

General Manager Infrastructure

 Rex Dusting

Mr Dusting leads the Infrastructure Group, which is responsible for ensuring our infrastructure (pipes, pumps and treatment plants) meets the ongoing service needs of our customers. The Group uses its technical expertise to review asset performance, develop master plans and budgets and arrange delivery of programs. Before joining South East Water Limited in 1996, Mr Dusting worked for other water authorities and engineering consultants. His roles included planning, design, operation and construction of water industry infrastructure.

 

Mr Philip Johnson

General Manager Corporate & Commercial (and Chief Financial Officer)

Philip Johnson 
Mr Johnson’s current portfolio encompasses Finance, Risk and Business Services, Business Growth, Information Technology, Major Projects, Management Systems, Company Secretariat and Procurement. Prior to this appointment, he was Group Manager Commercial and Technical Services at ‘us’ – Utility Services where he was also a member of the Alliance Governance Board. The responsibilities of the Commercial and Technical Services Group included Finance, Human Resources, Marketing and Communications. Mr Johnson was also responsible for the ‘us’ – Utility Services’ Information Technology and Management systems (Quality, Works/Asset management and SCADA systems). Previous roles and experience include Chief Finance Officer for South East Water Limited from 2000 to 2004, Director of Water Industry Super Fund (now Equipsuper) and Business Manager at Melbourne Water Corporation.

Mr Mark McCormack

General Manager Network Services

 Mark McCormack

Mr McCormack is the General Manager of Network Services, which oversees the operation and maintenance of South East Water’s sewage and recycled treatment plants, and the water and sewerage supply systems. He is also a member of the ‘us’- Utility Services Alliance Board, which undertakes the design, construction and commissioning of capital works for South East Water. Mr McCormack has more than 20 years of experience in the water industry. He commenced his career with the State Rivers and Water Supply Commission and has worked for a number of different water companies. Prior to his current appointment, he was Acting General Manager of ‘us’ – Utility Services.

Ms Julia Oxley

Ms Oxley joined South East Water in August 2010 in the role of General Manager Customer and Community. She is responsible for managing South East Water’s relationship with its customers, stakeholders and community by proactively undertaking activities to better understand their needs while providing an exceptional level of customer service. Ms Oxley has a broad range of business, management and leadership expertise including extensive experience in marketing, brand management, customer engagement, contact centre management, business development and business improvement. Over a career spanning 25 years, Ms Oxley has worked for high profile customer-driven organisations including Mitre 10, Pacific Brands, National Australia Bank, Kmart, Mattel and BP Australia. Before joining South East Water, she was the National Manager Customer Support and Change at Mitre 10. 

 

Dr Hamish Reid

General Manager Strategy

 Hamish Reid

Dr Reid leads the Strategy Group, which provides strategic direction to South East Water Limited through the development of the Corporate Plan, the five yearly price review submission to the Essential Services Commission and business performance monitoring and analysis. The Group also leads a number of strategic areas, including Integrated Water Management, Water Resource Policy, Environment, Sustainability and Greenhouse Gas Management. Dr Reid joined South East Water Limited in 2005, working for four years as the Manager, Research and Technology. He has held a range of previous water industry and Government roles with Melbourne Water, the Victorian Environment Protection Authority and the New Zealand Ministry for the Environment. 

 

Mr Chris Feil

General Counsel and Governance

 Chris Feil

Mr Feil is South East Water’s General Counsel and leads the Governance Group.  He is responsible for South East Water’s secretariat, legal, strategic procurement, internal audit and contracts and compliance functions.  Mr Feil joined South East Water in 2006 and has held a variety of roles within the organisation including Corporate Lawyer, Corporate Counsel, Manager of the Legal Branch and continues as its Company Secretary.

 

 

Ms Sharon Robinson

General Manager People and Culture

 Hamish Reid

Ms Robinson leads the People and Culture Group, which is responsible for overseeing South East Water’s delivery of human resources services and shaping of organisational development. She brings a wealth of experience in the human resources field having worked in various industries including natural resource management, hospitality, engineering and banking. Ms Robinson joined South East Water in 2012, having previously held senior roles at Crown Melbourne Ltd, National Australia Bank and Arup Group.
